Can't Get Enough Snowmen and Snowladies At The Dollie Fashion Show

Get ready for the snow! The snowmen, snow girls, and snow ladies are all ready to strut their stuff. That is their "snow" stuff!  It's "show the snow" at the "The Dollie Fashion Show."

Abigail and Chester are an unusual pair of Victorians. They may happen to be snowmen (or should we say snowman and snowlady), but they are also Victorians to the core and gardeners to the core. You could say they are Victorian, snowpeople, and gardening lovers to the core.

Like a lot of Victorians they love their country cottages and love the ivy growing all over outside walls of their cottage homes. It grows in the spring, summer, winter, or fall. As a result they can be seen during any season attending to it. Since today was such a beautiful sunny day they decided to transplant a few new vines. The problem is that sometimes in doing so they get entangled in them.

"Abigail - Victorian Snowlady To The Core" is a 25" self-standing wood and felt cloth snowlady with an embroidered and blushed face with black bead eyes and carrot resin nose. She has wool roving hair and bangs and is wearing her favorite lined wool bonnet that is adorned with ivy.

Her favorite burgundy colored wool coat has teal fringed band along the bottom edge and the front edges.  It has cuffed sleeves and is teal fringed collar.  A matching fringed teal scarf is wrapped around her neck and matching teal fringed shawl is wrapped around her arms and shoulders.  She is carrying her favorite draw string lined purse in her left hand and ivy transplant in her right hand.  Ivy also adorns the bottom of her body.

Designer - Tenderberry Stitches

"Abigail - Victorian Snowlady To The Core" just loves being in the garden, especially if Chester is helping her.  She loves her Victorian cottage house adorned with ivy and hopes her new ivy transplants will take.

If you want to order "Abigail - Victorian Snowlady To The Core"please CLICK HERE for her handmade doll.

"Chester - Victorian Snowman To The Core" is a 25" self-standing wood and felt cloth snowman with an embroidered and blushed face with black bead eyes and carrot resin nose. He has wool roving hair and bangs and is wearing his favorite lined wool derby hat that is adorned with ivy.  Ivy also adorns the bottom of his body.

He is also wearing his favorite navy and brown colored tweed wool coat.  It has cuffed sleeves and is gathered at the collar.  A burgundy scar with teal fringe edges fringed  is double wrapped around his neck.  He is carrying his favorite broom adorned with ivy to sweep the soil away from the walkways.

Designer - Tenderberry Stitches

"Chester - Victorian Snowman To The Core" just loves being in the garden, too, especially if Abigail is there.  He loves his Victorian cottage home, but really loves it because Abigail does.  And, anything she loves - well, he loves it too.  Even the ivy which he often gets tangled up in.

If you want to order "Chester - Victorian SnowmanTo The Core" please CLICK HERE  for his  handmade doll.

Bud comes from a large family of snow brothers and sister which might account for his happy-go-lucky attitude.

If you would like to order "Bud Snowman" please  CLICK HERE.

"Gary" is just like his brother, Bud. He is about as happy-go-lucky a snowman as you'll ever find. He doesn't fret small problems. In fact, he doesn't fret the big problems either. Everything can be fixed in due course he feels. So, he's decided that he and his two younger brothers, Lou and Philip, should go on a great snow adventure. A field trip of sorts - only of a greater magnitude. He's not sure exactly where they'll go. They'll find out when they get there.

Gary is a 26” cloth snowman with a drawn and embroidered face with black bead eyes, orange felt nose, and blush on his cheeks.

He is wearing his favorite wool outfit.  He has a large, floppy brown tweed wool stove top hat atop his head that is decorated with felt applique, black boots with criss-cross laces, and plaid socks for his legs.  His brown tweed wool pantaloons match his stove top hat and are gathered at the waist.  He is wearing his favorite tree appliqued sweater with gathered collar.  His long wool coat is embroider outlined and the lapels are appliqued with twin star decorations.

Designer-Reets Rags To Stitches

Gary knows that his younger brothers are a little afraid to go on a great snow adventure, but he's reassured them they will be fine.  What a wonderful time they will have. What a story they will have to tell. He just doesn't know what the adventure or story will be as of yet.  But, it will be a splendid adventure.

If you want to order "Gary" please CLICK HERE  for his handmade doll.

Just like his brother, Gary, Lou just loves and adventure and isn't as afraid of where they are going for their "Great Snow Adventure"  as their baby brother, Philip is.  Lou has been on Gary's adventures before and has always has a wonderful time.  Sometimes they get in a little trouble, but Gary always manages to talk his way out of it.

If you want to order "Lou" please CLICK HERE for his  handmade doll.

Philip just LOVES his older brothers, Bud, Gary, and Lou.  But, he's the baby of the family and is always a little nervous about his brother's adventures.   It's not that he doesn't want to go on Gary's "Great Snow Adventure" it's just that he likes to know where he's going before he goes.

Philip is a 26” cloth snowman with a drawn and embroidered face with black bead eyes, orange felt nose, and blush on his cheeks.

He is wearing his favorite wool outfit.  He has a large, floppy black and white check flannel stove top hat atop his head that is decorated with a cloth band, black boots with criss-cross laces, and plaid socks for his legs.  His black and white flannel pantaloons match his stove top hat and are gathered at the waist.  He is wearing his favorite tree appliqued blue sweater with gathered collar.  His long rose colored wool coat is embroider outlined and the lapels are appliqued with twin star decorations.

Designer-Reets Rags To Stitches

Philip is hoping to get Gary alone so he can ask him if he knows exactly where they are going this time. He loves being with his brother's, but he's not a strong as they all are and not as adventurous.  He'd rather be reading a book in the library or playing pool in the snow lodge. And, if he's going to go on an adventure he'd like to be prepared and have the right equipment.  Hopefully, Gary knows and will tell him.

If you want to order "Philip" please CLICK HERE for his  handmade doll.

Bring On Linda's Snowmen, Snow Gals, and Snow Ladies For The Dollie Fashion Show

The winter season will soon be upon us and for those of us who hate to shovel that is a depressing thought.

However, watching intricate snowflakes falling and blanketing the ground is a beautiful sight.

So, with snow in mind here come the snowmen, snow gals, and snow ladies. They are up next for "The Dollie Fashion Show Series!"

First up is one of our all time favorites "Nellie Snow Lady."

Nellie Snow Lady is a 23” Victorian Snow Lady Doll wearing a 1893 Ladies Street Costume.

Nellie is a free-standing doll and such a beautiful snow lady dressed in her best street costume.

She has a fancy double-tiered lace trimmed dress, full length double-tiered laced trimmed (inside and out) lined jacket with long puffed sleeves, fancy lace and floral decorated lined hat, lace trimmed and gathered slip, lace trimmed and gathered bloomers, lace trimmed parasol, and lace gloves. Her arms are wire-shaped and covered. Her hair is white with bangs and is fastened in a bun.

Her face is partly embroidered and she has a covered Styrofoam head and cloth body supported by a wood dowel and covered wood base. Her fancy hat is tied with a lace ribbon into a bow on the side of her head. Designer-Linda Walsh Originals

"Nellie Snow Lady" is the epitome of elegance in snow gals. She just loves her Victorian outfit and blue colors. It is a good compliment to her "snow" complexion. "Nellie Snow Lady" prides herself on her composure, her style, and her demeanor. She is everything you could want in a Victorian Snow Lady.

"Susie Snow, Spoon Me Up" could hardly wait to tell her brother, "Sammy Snow, Spoon Me Up" that the forecast was for a thaw.

You see, "Susie Snow, Spoon Me Up" and her brother are very special snow people. Or should we say - a very special snow-lady and snowman. The reason being - they are not just made of snow. They have wood spoons and cloth covered and padded wood heads.

So, in the event of melting - well, that just won't happen. Or, just shouldn't happen in Susie's way of thinking.

Susie is anxious to see if they will melt so she'd been waiting for the first sign of spring. Waiting for the thaw.

"Sammy Snow, Spoon Me Up" isn't as confident as his sister and isn't sure he wants to test that theory. He's not looking forward to the first thaw as he doesn't want to melt.

"Susie Snow, Spoon Me Up" is a 13" Wood covered spoon snow-lady ornament. She has a wooden spoon body and warm and natural spoon covered body and head. Her face is embroidered and she has two button eyes and a resin carrot nose. Her cheeks are blushed and her head is padded.

"Snow Go! Noodles" couldn't be any nicer. He couldn't be any more positive and goodhearted. He couldn't be any more charming, or intelligent, or distinctly dressed. He couldn't be any more of a philanthropist than he already is. He couldn't be any more helpful or physically fit.

He couldn't be..... Well, let's just say he's perfect.

Perfect for a snowman - that is!

"Snow Go! Noodles" is a 28" squared bottomed self-standing cloth and wood country snowman. His arms and hands are wired and his warm & natural cloth head and warm & natural cloth body are supported by a wood dowel and wood base.

His face is embroidered and he has indented black bead eyes, a resin carrot nose, and outline embroidered mouth. His eyebrows and eyelashes are embroidered and his cheeks are blushed and slightly indented.

He has a mass of thick, straight, cream colored hair along the side seams of his head with the back left bald. His large brimmed and lined hat with contrast bands and decorated bows sits slightly tilted to the left of his head.

A fringed scarf is wrapped around his neck and overlapped in the front and a fringed scarf is wrapped around his waist and tied in a bow in the front.

He has a corn cob pipe inserted behind his waist scarf and is holding a large wood and metal shovel in his hands.

"Snow Go! Noodles" is so positive and so nice that nothing can get him down. Not a little snow, not a little cold, not even a little thaw. Certainly nothing that can get the average snowman down.

But, "Snow Go! Noodles" isn't just any snowman. He couldn't be happier. He couldn't be ..... Well, let's just say he's perfect.

"Petronella, The Birdhouse Lady!" is very concerned about her bird friends and their survival over the long, cold winter months.

In fact she is so concerned she asked her husband, "Doug, The Handy Dandy Gentleman!" to make her several birdhouses that she could put in the yarn to help her feathered friends.

The problem is that Petronella doesn't want just any birdhouses. She wants fancy Victorian birdhouses, with style and class. Lots of details and intricate molding.

Doug, on the other hand, doesn't want to invest so much time in making birdhouses that are just going to be destroyed by Petronella's fine feathered friends. He doesn't want to make them, but he loves to please Petronella.

"Petronella, The Birdhouse Lady!" is a 13" squared bottomed self-standing Victorian snow-lady warm & natural cloth doll. She has an embroidered face with black bead eyes, resin carrot nose, outline embroidered mouth, and blushed cheeks.

"Petronella, The Birdhouse Lady!" knows how to take care of her feathered friends. Her problem is that she loves everything and anything Victorian and wants everything Doug makes to be of the finest material and finest workmanship. Even if it's only going to be used for her fine, feathered friends. They deserve quality, too!

"Doug, The Handy Dandy gentleman" knows how much Petronella's fine feathered friends mean to her and has no problem making them birdhouses. It's just that to have to make finely crafted and delicately featured Victorian birdhouses for "the birds" is really going overboard.

"Brr... Why Is It So Cold, Laura!" is a very unusual snow-lady. You see, she really doesn't like the cold weather. She's much rather stay inside her finely decorated "pink lady" Victorian house than be outside in the cold.

However, she promised her son, "Brr... It's Cold Outside, Bruce!" that she'd take him to the Victorian skating party at Regency Park this weekend.

Bruce just loves to skate and is getting quite good at it. In fact, he's won several figure skating trophies which his mother has displayed on the living room mantle. But, he doesn't just love figure skating. He loves ice hockey too and is also very accomplished at that sport as well. So much so that everyone wants him on their team.

"Brr... Why Is It So Cold, Laura!" is a 9" three-tiered self-standing Victorian snow-lady warm & natural cloth doll. She has an embroidered face with X-crossed eyes, resin carrot nose, X-crossed embroidered mouth, and blushed cheeks.

She is wearing her favorite lined and coordinated Victorian jacket with front and back darts, and cuffed sleeves. Her jacket is secured in the front with two buttons and a lined jacket tie is wrapped tightly around her waist and knotted in the back.

She is also wearing a coordinated and lined cape and a fringed flannel scarf is wrapped around her neck and tied in a knot in the front. Her skates are flung over her shoulder and she is carrying a tiny Victorian gathered purse. Her hands are being kept warm inside her fur puff.

Bruce is looking forward to the skating party at Regency Park. Laura would much rather stay inside where it's warm.
