The Belle's Of The Ball - Augusta Lilac, Augusta Black, and Augusta Blue!

Augusta Lilac, Augusta Black, and Augusta Blue had been friends since they were babies and were so excited they could barely control themselves. You see, this was their year. Finally, they were debutantes and about to attend their debutante ball. They'd been dreaming of this for years and talking about the dress they wanted to wear.

The three best friends were very much alike in their taste in clothing and usually bought the same clothes - albeit in different colors. All three wanted a beautiful dress with long train. But, different enough to reflect their own personalities.

Watch Out For Roxy Ash Blonde, Roxy Black, and Roxy White - They'll Get You Into Hot Water!

They say that the roaring 20's were a time of zaniness and craziness and our trio "Roxy" flapper ladies were among the zaniest and craziest.

As cousins go Roxy Ash Blonde, Roxy Black, and Roxy White were very much alike. They were only a year apart in age and were all raised together. So, their likes and dislikes were pretty much the same. They loved to dress alike, have similar hair styles albeit of different colors, and do the same things. But when it came to dancing - well that's where they differed a little.

"Roxy Ash Blonde”, 12” Doll - Victorian Doll Lady Series - 1920 Flapper

Roxy Ash Blonde loved to do everything with her cousins, Roxy Black and Roxy White, but despite her best efforts was never able to master the "Charleston." She just could not get her feet to move with the same rhythm as her arms. Her time was always off. So, no matter how hard she tried it was beyond her athletic abilities. So, she'd spend her time watching her cousins dance the night away.

"Roxy Ash Blonde" is a 12" free-standing Victorian doll who can hardly wait to go to the club and is wearing her favorite flapper dress.

She has a fancy lace trimmed and ribbed dress with long lace trimmed sleeves and embroidered floral accents, lace overskirt with ribbon sash tied in a bow, lace shawl, boa, head band, lace trimmed slip, pearl necklaces, and long curly blonde hair. Floral accents adorn the ribbed bodice of the dress.

Her arms are wire-shaped and covered. She also has a painted wood head and covered round wood base. Her inner body is made from a dowel covered with fabric and eyelet lace.

"Roxy Black”, 12” Doll - Victorian Doll Lady Series - 1920 Flapper

Unlike her cousin, Roxy Ash Blonde, who despite her best efforts was never able to master the "Charleston", Roxy Black was a master at it. She could move with a rhythm all her own and was fascinating to watch. In fact, she considered herself the best dancer of the 3 cousins. She knew her cousin, Roxy As Blonde, would agree with her. Now her cousin, Roxy White, well that was a different story.

"Roxy Black" is a 12" free-standing Victorian doll who can hardly wait for to go to the club and is wearing her favorite flapper dress.

She has a fancy lace trimmed and ribbed dress with long lace trimmed sleeves and lace collar, lace overskirt with ribbon sash tied in a bow and decorated with a crocheted bow, lace shawl, boa, head band with feathers, lace trimmed slip, pearl necklace, and long curly black hair. "Roxy White”, 12” Doll - Victorian Doll Lady Series - 1920 Flapper

She taught herself very quickly and in no time had taught her cousin, Roxy Black, too. She had a certain style and flair to her "Charleston" and was fascinating to watch. In fact, she considered herself the best dancer of the 3 cousins. However, her cousin, Roxy Black, didn't agree and was always trying to compete with her.

LouArlene Red and LouArlene Black Are Busy Ladies!

With so much to do and so little time LouArlene Red and LouArlene Black aren't sure what to do next. All their friends will be here this afternoon for their weekly tea party and their house is still a mess. “LouArlene Red”, 12” Doll - Victorian Doll Lady Series - 1891 Tea Gown

Dee Doreen and Dee Jean Are Some Of My Favorite Victorian Ladies!

I just love making my old lady "Dee" dolls. I'm not sure exactly why they are a favorite of mine. Maybe it's because they were one of the first Victorian "ladies" I did or maybe it's just because I like the way the whole doll appears. Whatever the reason they remain some of my favorite Victorian faceless "Lady" dolls.

Dee Doreen and Dee Jean are almost identical to their sister "Dee" except for the fact that they have different colored dresses and different colored hair. They all are easy going and love to garden. In fact, they can hardly wait for the winter season to be over so they can be out in their gardens.

This year they decided to have a small contest amongst themselves to see who could create the most perfect English garden. Of course all three think that their English garden will be the best. Then again they all might be so spectacular that they'll just have to concede that all three are winners. They're so easy going they wouldn't mind that at all.

“Dee Doreen”, 16” Doll - Victorian Doll Lady Series - 1870 Prairie Dress

Dee Doreen loves outdoor gardening, but has to admit that she loves growing orchids. There's just something about the fragile nature of the orchid that appeals to her. Plus, there's the fact that with her greenhouse she can work on her gardens and orchids all year long. For a gardener its doesn't get much better than that.

"Dee Doreen" is a 16" free-standing doll all ready for her Sunday picnic. She's wearing her favorite 1870 dark green teal prairie dress.

She is wearing a 3-tiered gathered and lace trimmed dress with lace trimmed long sleeves. She has a ribbon sash tied around her waist, a doily collar and a fashionable button pin on the front of her dress. A crocheted shawl is wrapped around her shoulders and secured in the front with a silk floral. Her bonnet is decorated with ribbons and silk floral and tied under her chin with a ribbon bow. Her light blonde hair is tied in a bun. She has a lace trimmed slip and is carrying a basket of sill flowers.

Her arms are wire-shaped and covered. She also has a painted wood head and covered round wood base. Her inner body is made from a dowel covered with fabric and eyelet lace.

“Dee Jean”, 16” Doll - Victorian Doll Lady Series - 1870 Prairie Dress

Dee Jean also loves outdoor gardening, but has to admit that she loves growing violets. There's just something about the soft and gentle feel of the brushed leaves that appeals to her. Plus, there's the fact that she doesn't even need a greenhouse to work on her violets all year long. They're a houseplant and Dee Jean has them all over the house. That way she has a delightful bit of her gardens in very room.

"Dee Jean" is a 16" free-standing doll all ready for her Sunday picnic. She's wearing her favorite 1870 blue teal prairie dress.
